NHS EMPLOYEES will now be able to park for free in Fareham as the council launch permit scheme.
It means that hospital workers who live in Fareham will be able to apply to park for free at barrier car parks in the town centre from October 1 - March 31 2021.
NHS employees will need to provide proof that they live in the borough, hospital ID and their vehicle registration.
Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Sean Woodward said: "I do hope that this small gesture goes some way towards thanking them for their ongoing hard work in these exceptional times."
Executive Member for Health and Public Protection said, Cllr Trevor Cartwright said: "This new initiative is designed to help busy hospital workers who need to pop into town for some shopping after a long shift."
To apply, email: parkingservices@fareham.gov.uk to request an application form.
