A TEENAGER was led to believe by her mother that she was insured on a vehicle, when there was actually no insurance, a court has heard.
Mia Law was found driving the Mini Cooper on the A30 in Stockbridge without insurance on May 6, magistrates were told.
However, Basingstoke Magistrates' Court heard earlier this week that Law was misled by her mother into thinking she was insured on the vehicle.
The 18-year-old pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure in July.
But she was given an absolute discharge and no endorsement made on her driving licence because of the deception.
However, Law, of Denning Mead, Andover, was ordered to pay costs of £85.
