RAIL passengers in the Southampton area are facing disruption after a person was hit by a train.
All serices between Southampton and havant were halted after the accident, which occurred between Havant and Fratton.
Lines have now reopened but disruption is expected to continue until 9am.
In a statement Southern Rail said: "Earlier this morning, a person was hit by a train between Fratton / Havant and Fareham.
"Network Rail have advised that the emergency services have concluded their investigations and that lines have now reopened. However, whilst service recovers, trains between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.
"We anticipate that disruption will continue until 9am."
