PLANS for a new outbuilding have been given the go-ahead - despite sparking an objection.
The New Forest National Park Authority (NPA) has approved an application relating to a house at Romsey Road, Ower.
The applicant has been given permission to replace a garage with a double garage and garden room, with storage above.
Copythorne Parish Council had urged the NPA to reject the application, citing the size and visual impact of the proposed development.
But a neighbour described the existing building as looking tired and said the proposed development would enhance the area.
A report to NPA members said the new building would not result in visual intrusion, loss of light or overlooking.
