A FAREHAM man who assaulted a police officer has been handed a community order.

Jack Daniels Winson assaulted a Police Constable in Fareham on February 2.

The 23-year-old breached his suspended sentence order made by the court on October 3, 2018, for a previous assault.

Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to once count of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and admitted the breach of a suspended sentence order.

Winson, of St Mary's Road, Fareham, was handed a community order and ordered to pay compensation of £200.
