AFC Totton’s FA Vase dream ended in heartbreak at the new Wembley Stadium back in May 2007.
But they were roared on by a record Vase crowd of 36,232.
Many Saints fans changed the habits of a lifetime and wore blue for the day to cheer on the local club - and take a look at the brand new stadium, which they would not visit with Saints until 2010.
Despite the 3-1 defeat to Truro City, it was a great day out.
AFC Totton defender Danny Potter gave his side a 27th minute lead, but Truro scored just before half time and took the lead in the 56th minute. Joe Broad sidefooted the third after a swift counter attack.
Stags players collected their runners up medals after climbing the famous Wembley steps to the Royal box. It was a case of so near yet so far.
