Fire crews were called in the early hours to tackle a blaze in the lounge of a house.
The fire is said to have taken place at a mid-terrace, two-storey, domestic property in Baronsmead, Millbrook.
Crews from Redbridge and Totton were in attendance after the call came in at just after 3am this morning (October 7).
Smoke detectors are said to have woken the family up so they could evacuate.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire was extinguished using two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
