POLICE have taped off a property in Southampton this morning.
Three police vehicles are in Tangmere Drive near to its junction with Croydon Close in Lordshill.
A footpath has been cordoned off and officers are on the scene.
According to local residents, police have been in the area since last night and were notified there had been a "serious assault".
One resident, who wished to remain unnamed, said she saw police at around 7am this morning when she woke up.
She reported there had been a stabbing.
"It's awful when it's just outside your home," she added.
The situation is ongoing.
The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Police for comment.
