A 20-YEAR-OLD man has died following a car crash today.
The man who was driving a black Mazda 2 died after colliding with a tree just before 7.30am this morning.
Despite best efforts of the emergency services, the man from Hayling Island was pronounced dead at the scene on West Lane, Hayling Island.
No other vehicles were involved and his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Hayling Island.
"We are investigating the circumstances of this incident and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision, or the vehicle before the collision.
"We would also like to hear from anyone with dash-cam footage that may help our enquiries.
"Anyone with information is asked to phone 101 with the reference 44200393189."
