POSITIVE coronavirus cases have increased by 115 in Hampshire in the last 24 hours.
Figures from Public Health England show that 115 people have tested positive for covid-19 in the last 24 hours across the county.
In Southampton the number of cases has increased by 26 over the last 24 hours.
A total of 1,305 people have testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Friday (October 9) in Southampton, up from 1,279 the same time on Thursday.
The rate of infection in Southampton now stands at 516.8 cases per 100,000 people, while the rate for England is 873.1.
Public Health England is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 13,864 over the period to 575,679.
