CAN you give these pets a home?

These pets are currently residents at the Blue Cross rehoming shelter in West End near Southampton.

Daily Echo:

Daisy is a 13-year-old domestic short hair who has been at the Blue Cross for a while and is struggling to find the right home.

She is on the lookout for a special home with an understanding owner who will allow her the time and space to settle in at her own pace. She is very worried by new people and new environments, which means she will need to be set up in a quiet room initially until she has found her feet.

Her new owner will need to be patient with her and spend time building up her trust. In turn, she will be a lovely companion for her new owner once she has gained their trust. She has thrived in her foster home.

She has a very playful side where her inner kitten comes out of to shine, which can be very entertaining to watch. She is looking for a quiet home and is really hoping that one comes along soon for her.

Daily Echo:

Bluey, Reddy and Greeny are a close-knit trio of rats looking for their new home together. They are one-year-old.

These sisters have quite different personalities.

Greeny is very confident and energetic, her favourite thing is floor time where she can play and explore.

She is very social and gets on very well with people. She is happy to be handled and will climb all over you.

Daily Echo:

Reddy and Bluey also enjoy spending time outside of their cage playing, but can be quite shy and are easily frightened by unfamiliar territory.

They are worried by handling but their foster carer is currently helping them get used to this and taking things slowly. They are looking for an experienced rat owner who understands their needs and will be happy to work with them at a slow pace to build up their confidence and to help Reddy and Bluey reach their full potential.
