A year 8 student has tested positive for Coronavirus at a secondary school.
The Crestwood Community School in Eastleigh have confirmed in a letter to parents that the Year 8 student on the Cherbourg Campus has returned a positive test.
The student is reportedly displaying no symptoms and and is 'well in themselves' with the school, which has over 1100 pupils, working with Public Health England on the matter.

Students have been informed individually if they have been in contact with the student and told to self isolate for 14 days.
In a letter to parents, headteacher Krist Dawkins said: "The school is not closed and only those students who have been contacted by Mr Nash, and other members of SLT, will need to self isolate for 14 days. Online learning will be provided for them during this time.
"There is no need for other students to stay at home unless they develop any symptoms.
"In that case, parents should inform the school and their child should stay at home and isolate until they have taken a test and received a negative result.
"Please remember students should wear a clean mask daily, wash their hands regularly and use the hand sanitisers available in school and socially distance when not in the classroom."
