A HAMPSHIRE man caught more than three times the drink drive limit hit a car and attempted to drive away.
Naji Hassan Khalil was caught drink driving on April 23 on Coronation Parade in Hamble.
The court heard how the 42-year-old hit a car and repeatedly tried to drive away.
A member of the public tried to stop him.
Khalil was found to have 127 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Khalil, of Chadwick Way, Hamble-Le-Rice, was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 18 months and disqualified from driving for 48 months.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and court costs of £85.
