COASTGUARDS have urged the public to beware of being cut off by incoming spring tides.
People have been urged to check local tide times and to allow plenty of time when walking near the water.
“Spring tides this weekend mean you could very easily get cut off by the incoming tide, even in places where the water doesn’t normally reach” said a coastguard spokesman.
“Please check the local tide times and if possible have them to hand.
"If you're unsure about whether you can get back in time, please don’t go.
“Let someone know where you are and when you’re expected back.
"Carry a mobile phone or means of calling for help.”
If you see anyone in trouble at the coast, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
