POLICE were called to deal with large groups, gatherings and parties in Bournemouth town centre overnight.
Now they have warned the public they will target those who are breaking social distancing guidelines.
A spokesman for Bournemouth Police said at midnight: "We have officers on foot and mobile patrol in the town centre dealing with large groups, gatherings and parties. We are also dealing with our normal responsibilities as well.

"We will look to proactively target those flagrantly breaching the Covid regulations and educate others we see."
The gatherings come as cases of coronavirus rise across the Bournemouth,Christchurch and Poole area.
Yesterday two deaths and 146 new positive cases were recorded in Dorset.
