A MAN has been been charged after a van driver allegedly threatened a fellow motorist with a knife.
Jonathan Barton, 37, of Olive Road, Southampton, has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
It follows an incident at Millbrook Road West, Southampton, last Sunday at around 10.30am.
Police officers received a report a man being threatened with a knife by the driver of a Citroen Nemo van whilst driving along the route.
Barton is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on February 23 next year.
Police have issued a witness appeal.
A spokesperson said: "Were you in the area around the time of the incident? Did you witness anything? Perhaps you have dash cam footage?"
