The Harefield Barnardo’s charity shop will re-open in November.

The children’s charity cancelled fundraising events and closed over 700 stores across the UK under lockdown measures.

This resulted in a £30millon drop in income for the charity during March.

Daily Echo:

A phased re-opening of stores started in June and the charity has confirmed the Harefield store at 57 Somerset Avenue is set to open November 2.

Steve Mitchell, Barnardo’s Area Business Manager, said: “We are delighted that we soon will be able to welcome customers back to our Harefield charity store.

“Barnardo’s [shops] play a hugely important role in funding our services which support vulnerable children and families in many different ways.

“Closing all them all when the UK went into lockdown in March had a significant impact on our ability to raise funds for those services which is why we have been so keen to reopen our stores as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
