Three Hampshire country parks have been given prestigious awards.

Lepe Park in Exbury, Queen Elizabeth Park in South Downs and Royal Victoria Park in Netley have each been awarded the internationally recognised Green Flag award 2020.

The “international quality mark” judges parks based on environmental standards, maintenance and visitor facilities.

The scheme also operates in 14 other countries including Portugal, New Zealand and USA.

The Green Flag Awards Scheme is run by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, under licence from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
