A SOUTHAMPTON woman who stole more than £40 worth of Pokemon cards has been handed a curfew.

Tena Ellen Cole, 45, stole two tins of Pokemon Triple Power - collectable trading cards based on Nintendo's Pokémon franchise of video games and anime - worth £42 from Portswood Sainsbury's on Portswood Road on March 12.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, she pleaded guilty to one count of theft.

Cole, of Tennyson Road, Southampton, was handed a 28 day curfew ordering her to be in her home from 5pm to 5am and was handed an exclusion order banning her from entering Sainsbury's in Portswood for one year.

She was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £90 and court costs of £85.
