A MAN caught walking down a Hampshire motorway has been slapped with a fine.
Kyle Thomas Johnson was caught on the westbound carriageway of the M27 at junction 7 near Hedge End on September 19.
The 26-year-old was on foot while walking on the motorway while he was not a class of traffic authorised to use that road.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to walking on a special road on foot while not authorised to do so.
Johnson, of Oakshott Drive, Havant, was fined £100.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
