UPDATE: He has now been found.

Police in Hampshire are asking the public for help in locating a missing 41- year old man from Portsmouth following concerns for his welfare.

Barry Jones was last seen yesterday (Oct 26) near to the Esso garage on Milton Road in Fratton, Portsmouth at approximately 2pm after he left his supported living accommodation in Eastern Road.

There was also another potential sighting of him at KFC in the Pompey Centre, Fratton between 6pm and 6.30pm.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “[Barry’s] family and carers are understandably concerned for his welfare and we are now turning to [the public] to help us locate him.

“He doesn’t like the dark and we believe he may have found somewhere to sleep outdoors so please can we ask you to keep an eye out for Barry and also check your gardens.”

Barry is described as being around 5ft tall, of thin build and balding with receding side hair.

He was last seen wearing a black rain coat (potentially SuperDry), a white t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms with flecks of grey, light blue tennis shoes and carrying four blue bags potentially containing sweets and/or chocolate.
