Andy Simmonds looks ahead to what weather north Hampshire can expect during the next seven days.
I am expecting a big change on the weather front next week as a large anticyclone forms over the North Atlantic and pushes into the British Isles. But what does this mean for our neck of the woods? Basically, we can all expect to see a lot of dry but chilly weather from about Tuesday onwards and this is likely to last until the following weekend at least. With the drier conditions it should turn much brighter with some decent spells of sunshine at times.
However, before that happens, we are likely to see further showers or longer spells of rain at times and some of the precipitation will be on the heavy side, and perhaps accompanied by windy conditions. Temperatures will be above average at times until early next week before it turns much colder both by day and some parts of our patch could experience the first air frost of autumn.
