A COLLEGE student has received a call-up for the England Women's Under 17 Football squad.

Grace Palmer, who studies at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College in Eastleigh, has been selected to participate in a camp for the lionesses' under 17 squad after a series of footballing accomplishments for club and country.

Grace plays for Southampton Football Club Women has represented England since the age of 14.

She played her first international game against Switzerland in 2019 and has since represented her country on multiple occasions, playing in matches against Denmark, Spain, and the United States of America.

The central midfielder will now join her fellow Under 17 England Women’s teammates in the training camp at England’s bespoke training facility, St. George’s Park, between October 29 and November 2.

The camp is a lead up to squad selection for the upcoming UEFA European Women’s Championship taking place later this season.

Grace said: “I’m proud to have been selected for the camp and I am looking forward to getting back to training at St. George’s Park.

"It’s a great opportunity to get the highest level coaching."

Grace is in her first year at Barton Peveril and previously attended Crestwood Community School.
