PROPOSALS to open a tattoo parlour in the historic heart of a Hampshire town have been unveiled.
New Forest District Council has received a planning application to convert a shop in High Street, Fordingbridge.
The proposals have been drawn up by Chris Perkins, of Lovingink Tattoos.
Mr Perkins is seeking consent to use the building for "tattooing, piercing and tattoo removal".
The district council has emailed details of the proposed development to Historic England.
But the organisation's reply says: "On the basis of the information available to date, in our view you do not need to notify or consult us this application under the relevant statutory provisions."
So far the application has not sparked any letters of support or objection.
