A 30-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested in connection to the Joanne Sheen murder investigation.

Joanne was reported missing by her family on February 22 this year after they had not heard from her for several months.

The last known sighting of her was on December 5, 2019 when she travelled from Fareham, back to Southampton, with a friend.

Police opened a murder investigation in relation to the disappearance on Monday.

A 30-year-old woman from Southampton has now been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

She has been released under investigation while officers continue with their enquiries.

This follows three other arrests earlier this week: A 63-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, both from Southampton were initially arrested.

Both have now been released under investigation.

A 29-year-old man from Basingstoke was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

He has since been bailed with conditions.

Joanne is still missing and her body has not been recovered.

Police enquiries are ongoing.
