A VILLAGE school in the New Forest has reported its second Covid case in three weeks.

The positive test result at Hordle Primary was announced by the head teacher, Fiona Adams, with the person involved described only as a "member of Team Hordle”.

Pupils and staff within the bubble affected have been told to stay at home for 14 days.

Daily Echo:

Mrs Adams said: “We can confirm that a member of Team Hordle has tested positive for Covid-19 at Hordle CE (VA) Primary School.

“Children and staff who share a bubble with this individual were informed immediately and advised to self-isolate for a period of 14 days as per the Department for Education’s guidelines.”

The school's first positive Covid case was reported on October 23.

But within three days a bubble of pupils initially told to self-isolate were informed they no longer needed to following advice from Public Health England.

Several other schools in the Forest have reported Covid cases in the past few weeks.

These include Ringwood School, The Arnewood School in New Milton and two Totton schools - Hounsdown and Testwood.
