A WINCHESTER teenager was found to have a telescopic cosh when searched by police.

Leon Jolliffe, 19, of Fox Lane, Stanmore, was driving a car when stopped by officers on the A303 at Bullington Cross, near Sutton Scotney, on February 22.

Jolliffe admitted possessing an offensive weapon and a quantity of cannabis and was ordered to 100 hours unpaid work with a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 15 days. He was also told to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
