LUKE Joyce has been fined for criminal behaviour motivated by dislike for someone's sexual orientation.
Joyce, 24, of Northanger Drive, Abbotts Barton, Winchester, was arrested on July 6 after attacking Timmy Mathewson and PC Raistrick.
Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard that Joyce after his arrest then damaged the inside of a police van.
The court ordered Joyce take part in a thinking skills programme for up to 19 sessions with a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 20 days.
They also fined him £120 with an order to pay £50 compensation. There was no order for a victim surcharge or costs as compensation takes priority.
The court records says "the court finds that this offence was motivated (wholly or partly) by hostility towards persons who are of a particular sexual orientation."
