RESCUE teams raced to save a person who fell from a Southampton bridge.
A person fell from Northam Bridge at around 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Hill Head Coastguard, Hamble Lifeboat, ambulances and police were all called to help.
The person was pulled from the River Itchen by a passing member of the public in a rowing boat.
They were then handed over to paramedics once on the shore.
Rescue teams are reported to have stood down at around 6pm.
The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Police for comment.
