A POTENTIALLY dangerous piece of driving has landed a Warsash man with a hefty fine.
Harrison Collins, 22, of Brook Lane, drove a 58-reg Ford Fiesta on Southwick Hill Road, near Portsmouth, without due care and attention, a court was told.
Collins failed to complete a safe overtake and took to the nearside of the oncoming vehicle driving through the cycle path and verge with no attempt to slow or abandon the initial manoeuvre on May 19
He was found guilty in his absence at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and fined £660 with £85 costs. He was fined another £100 for not displaying his front registration plate which was stowed in his dashboard. Eight penalty points were added to his licence.
