FOUR more coronavirus deaths have been registered at hospitals in Hampshire in the last 24 hours.

A further three people have died in the Hampshie Hospitals Trust, bringing the total to 199.

Another death at Portsmouth saw the total there rise o 270 with deaths remaining at 224 in Southampton, 18 in the Southern NHS Trust and three in the Solent NHS Trust.

The total number to die with coronavirus in Hampshire hospitals since the start of the pandemic is 714.

Figures released by NHS England today reveal a further 222 coronavirus deaths have been registered in hospitals in England, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 38,334.

Patients were aged between 30 and 99 years old. All except five (aged 30 to 81 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

There were 67 deaths registered in the North East and Yorkshire with 66 in the Midlands, 37 in the North West, 16 in London, 15 in the South East, 12 in the East of England and nine in the South West.
