TOMORROW night's Super League Grand final will throw up plenty of compelling head-to-heads.
Although the battle between the two packs will ultimately define the contest, behind that there will be some fascinating individual battles.
Full backs Lachlan Coote and Bevan French will have a massive say in the outcome, but so too will rival half backs Jonny Lomax and Jackson Hastings.
The pair went head-to-head in last season's Grand Final when Hastings was then number 6 with Salford Red Devils.
Lomax knows just what to expect from the 2019 Steve Prescott Man of Steel.
"Jackson Hastings is a quality player and a constant threat – he is always coming at you carrying, and looking to play all the time," Lomax said.
"He gets bodies in motion and is always looking for the right pass at the right time or kick.
"He is a real quality player and one you have to be constantly prepared for.
"He is always coming at you – he does not just tip his toe in and out of the game.
"He is key to a lot of what Wigan do."
