A Hampshire secondary school has sent a letter home to parents confirming positive cases of COVID-19 connected to the school.
Parents of pupils at Applemore College in Hythe, which teaches pupils aged 11-16, were sent the letter on November 24th.
In the letter, headteacher Alan Chipping wrote: "We have been informed of two separate but positive cases related to the school today.
"One case affected a very small number of students in year 9, the other case affected no students in the school."
Pupils who have been in contact with an individual who has tested positive have been asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
The letter said the school is working with Public Health England and encouraged parents to continue to send their child to school.
