AN 82-YEAR-old man died after he walked into the path of a motorcyclist, an inquest opening has been told.

David Marshall Turner, of Bullar Road, Bitterne Park, was involved in the collision on November 12, this year.

Area coroner Jason Pegg said he had walked between two parked cars and into the path of the motorbike.

Mr Turner was taken to Southampton General Hospital with a head injury, but his condition did not improve, and he died on November 18.

Pathologist Dr Sanjay Jogai conducted a post mortem on Mr Turner’s body and said he died of a hypoxic brain injury and head injury resulting from the road traffic collision.

A full inquest will take place on August 4, next year.
