A SOUTHAMPTON man who died of a drug overdose was found unresponsive by family members, an inquest opening has been told.
Michael Neil McCann, 47, was discovered at his home by his family and a friend in Chiltern Green, Southampton, on September 11, this year.
An inquest into his death was opened on Tuesday by area coroner Jason Pegg at Winchester Coroner’s Court.
Following McCann’s death a post mortem was carried out and a cause of death has been given as dihydrocodeine overdose.
Mr Pegg adjourned the hearing for a full inquest to take place on August 10, next year.
