A scam warning has been issued to Islanders who carry fobs and pendants - so they can easily summon help if they fall, or have an accident.
People in Hampshire have received telephone calls from someone claiming to be from their fob provider.
They were asked to press 1.
The Isle of Wight Against Scams Partnership (IWASP) is urging caution.
If similar calls are received here, the advice is to hang up straight away.
