A CROWN court date has been set for a Gurnard man charged with possession of multiple firearms, ammunition, and a baton.
Clive Edward Abbott, 65, of Cockleton Lane, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Mr Abbott has been charged with three counts of possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of ammunition, and a single count of possession of an offensive weapon.
Among the firearms alleged is a Armi Jager self-loading rifle, a Webley and Scott revolver and a sound moderator.
Mr Abbott has been bailed, and his case has been adjourned to January 4 at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
