A MAJOR road was closed this morning after a car aquaplaned and flipped onto its roof.
A silver BMW has flipped onto its roof after aquaplaning on the A31 this morning.
Lanes one and four of the eastbound carriageway were closed near to Ringwood.
The car has since been recovered.
However, motorists have been warned of lane closures remaining for much of the day as Highways England deals with standing water.
Meanwhile, police are urging drivers to slow down in light of poor conditions.
No injuries were reported.
A police spokesperson said: "The report came in at 8.19am this morning.
"A vehicle went into a ditch but the driver appears to not be injured.
"There are some concerns about standing water on the carriageway in the area and Highways have been called out to deal with it."
