More than 200 businesses in Eastleigh have benefited from almost £325,000 in financial support following a second period of closures during the second national lockdown.
The national Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) scheme is being paid out by Eastleigh Borough Council to business that were required to close during the national lockdown imposed from November 5.
A business may be eligible if it occupies property on which it pays business rates to the council, was required to close due to the second lockdown and has been unable to provide its usual in-person customer service from its premises.
Firms that are required to close but do not pay business rates may be eligible for funding at the discretion of the local council, as may businesses that were not required to close but have been impacted.
Applications for funding can be made online.
