ALMOST 300 new positive coronavirus cases have been recorded in Hampshire today
Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website at 4.14pm today (December 6) - show that 289 more people have tested positive for the virus in a 24 hour period.
It comes as testing increases across the country.
The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.

Basingstoke and Deane: 25 (2,571 in total since start of pandemic)
East Hampshire: 20 (1,581)
Eastleigh: 17 (1,715)
Fareham: 14 (1,461)
Gosport: 14 (1,146)
Hart: 12 (1,030)
Havant: 25 (1,877)
New Forest: 21 (1,913)
Portsmouth: 71 (4,645)
Rushmoor: 17 (1,614)
Southampton: 38 (4,074)
Test Valley: 6 (1,561)
Winchester: 9 (1,783)
