A MOTORIST failed to stop following a motorway crash that left one driver with neck injuries.
The 26-year-old man from Romsey was hurt when his red VW Golf collided with a dark or silver coloured saloon car as they were travelling westbound on the M27.
The cars came in contact with each other between junction 9 at Whiteley and junction 8 east of Southampton, just after 6pm on Friday.
The Golf went out of control and hit the central crash barrier before rebounding across the carriageway.
The other car failed to stop and continued travelling towards Southampton. Police now want to speak to the driver of that car.
PC James Chapman, from Cosham roads policing unit, said: "I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the accident or have information regarding the vehicle that did not stop or its driver to contact."
Anyone with information should contact PC Chapman on 0845 045 4545 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
