A HAMPSHIRE coaching inn said to be the inspiration for the famous novel Watership Down has been put up for sale in the market town of Whitchurch.
The King's Arms, which dates from the 18th century, is a listed building on Church Street and is set near countryside that local author Richard Adams used to stroll through.
The pub dates back to the days when Whitchurch was a busy coaching stop on the route west out of London.
