Southampton man caught driving under the influence of cannabis is banned from roads
A SOUTHAMPTON drug driver caught under the influence of cannabis has been banned from the roads.
Ionut-Bogdan Predescu was caught drug driving in a Vauxhall Astra on Shirley Road on June 26.
The 32-year-old was found to have THC - a breakdown product of cannabis - in his blood.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to one count of drug driving.
Predescu, of Northumberland Road, Southampton, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £266.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
