Driving ban for man who did not cooperate with police
MARTIN John Stedman was asked to tell police who was driving a 55-reg Volkswagen believed to have committed an offence.
He failed to reply to two letters from the police and has now been banned by magistrates.
Stedman, 40, of Upper Toothill Road, Rownhams, had the case proved under the single justice procedure. He was not present in court.
Magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £660 with a £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The ban, for repeat offending, will last six months.
