SEVEN hospital patients have died with Covid-19 in Hampshire, data shows.

Figures published by NHS England today (December 26) reveal that seven more people have died with Covid-19.

Across the whole of Hampshire, 867 people have died with Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic in March.

At Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, five more patients have died, bringing the total up to 367.

One more coronavirus patient has died at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, bringing the total up to 237.

One patient has died at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust bringing the total up to 236.

No more deaths were recorded at any of the county's other Trusts.

At Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust there have been 23 deaths, and at Solent NHS Trust there have been four deaths.

A further 161 people have died in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 48,311.

Patients were aged between 44 and 100 years old. All except eight (aged 64 to 94 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
