A HEAVY police presence has been reported in a Hampshire town centre today.

Police officers and firefighters raced to Ferneham Hall in Osborn Road, Fareham after an emergency call was made at around 12.30pm.

Road blocks were put in place, however the incident has since been resolved.

A post on a Fareham Police social media account said: "If you were out in Fareham Town Centre today, you may have seen a heavy Police and @Hants_fire response to an incident.

"The incident has now been resolved and all footpaths/car parks are now open. Thank you for your patience, Fareham Police."
