Images sent in by readers show a car crushed by a tree in Eastleigh and damage to a cemetery in Southampton.

The image above shows damage to a car in Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh after it was crushed by a tree due to heavy winds. 

A crane was required to remove the tree, which also damaged a fence. 

Tree surgeon Paul Skiba from Lakewood Tree Surgeons said: "The tree had uprooted and fallen onto the Audi - just crushing it completely and damaging the roof. 

"It damaged the fence and the neighbour's garden, took out a kid's football goal."

Damage was also caused to St Mary’s Extra Cemetery on Portsmouth Road in Southampton, with images showing a tree on top of a gravestone. 

The Met Office issued an amber warning for winds across the south coast on Saturday.
