It comes as the Met Office has issued a warning for snow and ice across the city and Hampshire.
Temperatures have plunged across the country and are expected to drop close to freezing in the city on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, with a "feels like" temperature of -4C.
Snow is not currently forecast to fall in the city but the weather warning is in place from 10am on Wednesday until 6am on Thursday and the Met Office says this could cause disruption to travel, power cuts, or injuries from people slipping on icy surfaces.
