I can't be the only person in Southampton that has noted the missing "Thank You" to port workers during Covid.
Today and every day in Southampton - 24/7 - tuggies, pilots, crew, controllers, drivers, divers, customs and the rest continue their gruelling and often dangerous work day and night.
Ninety per cent of everything comes into our country by sea - from PPE and vaccines to food and loo paper.
These Southampton key workers are a vital part of the huge effort keeping our country going.
