A SOUTHAMPTON man who spat at a police officer has been jailed.
Callum Bryan Hickman spat at a police officer on December 29 last month on Herrick Close in Southampton.
The court heard how the 21-year-old failed comply with supervision requirements following his release from prison.
Hickman had failed to reside at his "approved" address following his release and also failed to attend appointments with his supervisor.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating, and admitted two counts of breaching his Post Sentence Supervision.
Hickman, of Herrick Close, Southampton, was sentenced to a total o 16 weeks in prison and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128.
